Located in northwest North Carolina, this small town's main street retains most of the old time charm of Mayberry, with a heaping helping of tourism and marketing thrown in. Almost everything is "Mayberry" related on Main Street.
Above is Floyd's City Barber Shop. Named for the character who was the town barber. Contains lots of memorabilia. Might still be possible to get a haircut? Not sure, we didn't go in!
I wanted to write about "Mayberry" today because this weekend's snow somehow tore the "Mayberry" sticker off of my back window and now I feel the need to return to get a new one!
